More changes at Saatchi Dubai

Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai is believed to have shed further personnel last week in pursuit of its remit to become the ‘lighthouse agency’ for the Saatchi network in the region.

The latest departures saw four senior creative staff made redundant, coupled with the resignation of another creative team. It is not yet known whether the creative department will be bolstered with new hirings to make up the shortfall.

Recent months have seen an exodus of staff at the agency’s top tier, with the departures of both the former regional creative director Ed Jones and ex-CEO, Steve Anastasiadis, following in quick succession. The high level changes at the agency were made as part of a serious internal restructure following the arrival of Elias Ashkar as CEO for the Middle East and North Africa last October.

Recent arrivals include Joseph Attallah, who joined as chief strategy officer for the MENA region in January, and Danny Higgins, who is the Dubai office’s new creative director, though Higgins’ appointment is believed to be on a temporary basis.
