Dubai Metro is to launch on 9 September and my son is quite excited about the prospect of his first trip. All I can think about, however, is this ridiculous ad.
It is wrong on so many levels, but what puzzles me the most is why the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is facing Al Barsha rather than Sheikh Zayed Road, and why the ski slope is heading in the wrong direction too. Surely attention to detail is important.
And how is any prospective Dubai Metro user going to be able to make an informed decision about their nearest station when, according to this ad, Dubai Mall is also facing the wrong way and is straddling about 12 lanes of double-decker highway? In fact, the tip of Dubai Mall is located directly on top of my flat. Not a good start.
